“In a noisy world, high-quality content cuts through the chaos. Powerful storytelling changes minds and drives action, and that’s why I’ve spent my career perfecting my craft across industries, from journalism, to B2B SaaS marketing, to now, writing for The Review at First Round.”

In line with First Round's emphasis on founders who go ‘unreasonably deep,’ I’m driven by curiosity and learning. I’m happiest when researching a topic in-depth, obsessing over a sentence to get it just right, and asking perhaps too many questions.

At First Round, Erin works on long-form editorial pieces for The Review, as well as on the "In Depth" podcast, with its focus on diving deep into the stories of inspiring founders.

Erin has been a professional storyteller for more than fifteen years, beginning her career as a journalist in her hometown of Sydney, Australia, and continuing to work in the media after moving to New York City. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Daily Beast, Elle, and elsewhere.

More recently, she led customer stories at a B2B SaaS company, helping to tell the stories of brands including JetBlue, Swissport, Wegmans, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Erin thinks of herself as a writer first, but is a multi-disciplinary storyteller comfortable working across different mediums, from video, to social, to newsletters, and live events.
