As a natural extrovert, I love meeting new people and getting to know the ins and outs of what makes them tick. During my undergraduate years at the University of California, Merced, I led member expansion efforts on behalf of two fraternities I was a part of. It gave me an early peek into the world of recruiting, and I’m fortunate to be able to have turned that passion into a career. My journey led me to join in-house recruiting teams at startups like Lightstep and Truework, and in my role on the Talent team at Sequoia Capital I got the privilege to work with a bunch of different seed and series A as they build out their early teams.
I consider myself a serial explorer of rabbit holes and will try to become an overnight expert on anything that catches my attention, whether that be Egyptian mythology, the history of video games, or how to befriend a cow. As a Technical Sourcer at First Round Capital, I’m excited to tap into my natural curiosity to conduct research and help find top-notch talent for startups across all sorts of unique industries. A company’s earliest hires have an enormous impact on the trajectory of the product and the culture, and I’m thrilled to play a small part in finding that critical hire to help a startup take the next step.
Outside of work, I love to stay active and enjoy doing Muay Thai. That love for fitness is balanced out by an evenly matched love for video games. I’m also an 80’s geek at heart and appreciate the comforts of a John Hughes flick and listening to the musical stylings of Michael Jackson and Billy Idol.
