SkillSlate is a vertical search directory for finding individual service providers such as handymen, tutors, or dog walkers. Our directories consist of profiles complete with pictures, prices, and reviews, as well as information that paints a picture of the service provider’s personality.
Despite the fact that individual service providers make up 15% of the U.S. workforce, finding these individuals online as a consumer is hard. That’s because search engines tend to favor bigger (more expensive) companies and most classified site postings don’t provide enough information to let consumers make informed decisions.
SkillSlate aims to solve this problem by giving individual service providers an easy and effective way to market their services online through their SkillSlate profile. And, because SkillSlate is building the most comprehensive source for finding these individual service providers, we end up generating a lot of leads for our members.
