Ryan Gilbert is CEO and co-founder of BillFloat, an innovative credit-based bill payment service offering consumers “more time to pay” over 3000 recurring bills.
Ryan started developing BillFloat when he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Venrock and PayPal.
Ryan was previously Vice President of MoneyGram International’s PropertyBridge division, following MoneyGram’s acquisition of PropertyBridge in October 2007. Ryan was PropertyBridge’s CEO and co-founder. PropertyBridge made it easier to pay rent online for residents at most major apartment complexes in the United States.
He is an active investor and advisor to innovative early stage payments companies including Eventbrite and Square.
Ryan is a member of the State Bar of California, and is admitted to practice law in the United Kingdom and South Africa. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
